Website terms of use
In short (the friendly version):
- Our service is free for you — partner firms pay us a referral fee.
- We help you choose a broker or exchange. We never give investment advice.
- Your account and money sit with the regulated firm, not with us.
- Investing puts your capital at risk; crypto especially so.
The full terms below are the legally binding version.
This website is operated by BrokerMatchMe Ltd(“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER — pending registration], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. By using this site you agree to these terms.
What we do — and what we don’t
We provide a free introduction service: we discuss your investment goals and risk tolerance and introduce you to a regulated broker or cryptoasset exchange that may suit your needs. We do not provide investment advice or personal recommendations about particular investments, we do not arrange deals in investments, we do not handle client money, and we make no investment decisions on your behalf. Guidance about the choice of a firm is not regulated investment advice. If you want advice on what to invest in, consult an adviser authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Who can use the service
The service is for UK residents aged 18 or over who are considering opening an investment or cryptoasset account. It is not directed at persons in any jurisdiction where such a service would be contrary to local law.
Your side of the deal
You agree to give us accurate information about your circumstances and goals (our matching is only as good as what you tell us), to use the site lawfully, and not to misuse the booking system. We may decline or cancel a consultation at our discretion.
Regulatory status
[REGULATORY STATUS LINE — e.g. BrokerMatchMe Ltd is an introducer to firms authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not provide investment advice. CONFIRM EXACT WORDING WITH A COMPLIANCE ADVISER]
Every firm we introduce clients to is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority or, in the case of cryptoasset businesses, registered with the FCA. Before opening an account you can — and should — verify any firm on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk.
How we are paid
Our service is free of charge to you. If you open an account with a firm we introduce you to, that firm pays us a referral fee. We are paid only by our partner firms, never by you. This commercial relationship is why we can offer the service without charge; we disclose it before any introduction is made.
Your relationship with partner firms
If you open an account following an introduction, your contract is directly with that firm, on its terms. We are not a party to that relationship and are not responsible for the firm’s services, platform, charges or conduct. Complaints about a partner firm should be made to that firm and, where applicable, the Financial Ombudsman Service.
No guarantee of outcome
We will always try to suggest a firm that fits your needs, but we cannot guarantee that a suitable partner exists for every requirement, that a firm will accept you as a client (firms run their own onboarding and suitability checks), or that any product, market or pricing mentioned in a call will remain available.
Risk warning
The value of investments and the income from them can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed. You may get back less than you invest. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
Cryptoassets are high-risk.Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. Cryptoasset investments are largely unprotected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service if something goes wrong.
Consultation calls
Booking a call through this website is a request for an appointment only. Nothing said on a call constitutes investment advice; the outcome of a call is, at most, an introduction to a regulated firm, which you are free to accept or ignore.
Intellectual property
The content of this site is owned by or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for personal use; any other reproduction requires our written permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the general information on this site, from your dealings with any partner firm, or from interruption or unavailability of the site.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the moment it is published; if you use the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
