Version 2026-07-07.v2. This notice explains how BrokerMatchMe Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect and why
When you book a call we collect your name, email address, optional phone number and company, the area you’re interested in investing in, any notes you add, and your chosen appointment time. We use this to arrange and hold the call and to contact you about it. During the call we may discuss your investment goals and attitude to risk so that we can suggest a suitable regulated firm.
Our lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR — taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. We also process limited technical data (such as your IP address, held briefly in server memory) to protect the site from abuse; the lawful basis is Article 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately opt in.
Introductions to partner firms
If, after a call, you would like to be introduced to one of our partner brokers or exchanges, we will pass your contact details to that firm only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), given at the time. Once introduced, the partner firm is a separate data controller and its own privacy notice applies to what it does with your data. We never sell your data, and we do not share it with any partner without asking you first.
How long we keep it
Consultation booking records are kept for 24 months from the appointment date and then deleted, unless you become a client (in which case our client records policy applies) or we must keep them longer to comply with a legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run this website and deliver email (hosting and email providers acting as our processors under contract). We do not sell your data. If any provider processes data outside the UK, we ensure an adequate level of protection (for example, UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement).
Security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity. Access is limited to the people who need it to arrange your call.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact enquiries@brokermatchme.co.uk— we respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires, and usually much faster. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113).
